Ramadan Day 6
Mar. 16th, 2024 11:30 pmI think I learned today that I can push my energy levels farther than I expected to be able to push. Walked with a free Palestine contingent at a St. Patrick's Day parade and was able to be out and moving while fasting with less discomfort than I thought I would feel. It really seems that when I'm adequately distracted and not in a position to think about buying or finding food (i.e. in the middle of the city streets) it's easier to keep my brain off of food thoughts, which seems obvious. Proud of myself for going and for doing that much social interaction in my day, I'm feeling very tired as a result. But, 3/3 on emails, faxes, and calls; my Fools still know I'm sick of their antics and never want to vote for them again.
Unfortunately I don't have any picture for today, I don't take photos at events like this for everyone's safety, but if you imagine a group with lots of signs and wearing green, red, and black, you get the concept. Also, I really enjoy breaking my fast with dates, which is unexpected because while I
have always liked dates in sweets, I never really liked them on their own.
